Feb 10 2010: Breast Cancer Support Group Meeting - Schwartz Conference Room at Marlborough Hospital, 157 Union St. from 7 – 8:30. This ongoing support group is facilitated by a nurse and provides educational and emotional support for women coping with breast and other forms of cancer. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month at the hospital from September through June, but, the group will meet the second Wednesday of the month for February only. Feb 12 2010: St. Michael offers Foxwoods Resort & Casino Tour - Tour includes Luxury motor coach, buffet coupon & Keno. Tour cost: $30 per person, Tour Date: February 20th, Tour Departs: 9 am from Shaw's Plaza, Clinton and then at 9:30 am from Middlesex Savings Bank, 120 Flanders Rd., Westboro, Return: to Westboro by 5:30 pm & then Clinton by 6 pm. Mar 12 2010: TSA Certified Cargo Screening Program Deadline to Register for the March 25 seminar. Meet the August, 2010 100% Screening Deadline. This seminar, which includes Sensitive Security Information (SSI), will explain in detail the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) and how this program may have a significant impact on your company's global supply chain operations. Mar 13 2010: Texas Hold 'em to benefit St. Michael School - Hudson Elks, 91 Park St., Hudson. Registration 6 pm, Tournament begins at 7 pm. $75 Buy-in [get $3000 in chips]. Prizes: 1st - $1200, 2nd - $500, 3rd - $350. Prize amounts are based upon a minimum of 75 players. Register by March 12th and be entered in a drawing to win a great prize. Apr 15 2010: Save the date! Celebrate the Arts at the Maynard Public Library with an emphasis on the benefits they bring to the community. The keynote speaker will be from the Mass Cultural Council and other people from town will speak about why the arts are important to them. There will be some music and ACME has promised to do something (a bit from one of their plays or an improv). Craftspeople will be invited to display a sample of their work. On going The Hudson Site Amenities Donation Program - Individual citizens or corporations may make a donation to the town, which is tax deductible. The donation will go towards the purchase, shipping, and installation, including a personalized plaque, of site amenities such as a bench, game table, picnic table, bike rake, tree and more. Site amenities will be placed at the new canal walk and the South Street Park expansion. On going Town of Hudson "Buy a Brick" fundraising campaign - The town is expanding South Street Park to include a Skateboard Park, Splash Park and areas for picnicking and relaxing. Help build a new tot playground with "Buy a Brick". $50 donors get a 4" X 8" engraved brick and $100 donors get a 8" X 8" engraved brick. On going Zumba classes at Riverview Hudson Portuguese Club 13 Port St. Only $8 per person, no membership fees, no signinig up is required - just pay as you go. Tuesdays from 6:00 to 6:45 pm. On going Section of Assabet River Rail Trail to be closed - Due to construction of the Main Street Bridge in Hudson, starting April 30th, MassHighway will close a portion of the Assabet River Rail Trail from approximately Priest St. in front of Hudson Dairy Joy to a point east of the existing Main Street Bridge across from the Whispering Pines Condominium. Neither the trail nor sidewalk in this area will be accessible to pedestrians or bicycles until further notice. For more info contact MassHighway at: 978-562-6505.

On going Hudson Senior Center Meat Raffle & Quilt Gallery: Meat Raffle; at 10 am at Hudson Senior Center, located on Church St. in Hudson. Tickets are $1.00 each, must be present to win. The meat raffle will be held the first Sat. of each month, unless the Sat. is a holiday than it will be held the second Sat. Quilt Gallery; 10 am until noon held the first Sat of each month unless it’s a holiday than the second Sat. The Silver Threads of the Hudson Senior Center meet each Thurs. 10 am to 11 am. The Gallery will offer for sale quilts, aprons, table runners, bags, wall hanging all made by the Silver Threads.

On going Art in the Hall features a different artist bi-monthly at Hudson Town Hall, 78 Main Street. The public is invited to enjoy this art work weekdays 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and whenever Town Hall is open. There is no admission charge. All of the works may be purchased. Parking is available along Main and Church Streets, as marked, as well as in a small lot behind the building. On going Knitting For Those in Need - Join us for some relaxing and pleasant times while doing something to help those who need it. First United Methodist church of Hudson has re-started it's prayer shawl group. It is open to all crocheters and knitters from beginners to advanced. We make things to give away whenever or wherever a need arises- shawls, lap robes, baby caps for the hospital, mittens, scarves - anything that can help another. On going Earth-Centered Covenant Group to Begin at Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson. Are your religious beliefs and spirituality closely connected to nature? If so, you may want to consider trying out the new Earth-Centered Covenant Group that is beginning soon at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, 80 Main Street, in downtown Hudson. The group will meet monthly on the second Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 pm to share thoughts on theological questions and discuss ways in which our beliefs inform our lives. We will also enjoy potluck dinners and conduct rituals to celebrate the Pagan holidays together, honoring nature's cycles of life. The group will meet for discussion on February 10, April 14, May 12 and June 9. On Tuesday, March 10 the group will with join with others for a Full Moon Night Hike.
