Hudson Holiday Coalition for Giving
Hudson Coalition for Giving
Created in 1993 by area nonprofits and churches, the Coalition administrates
giving for Hudson families in need* during the holiday season. In general, the
Coalition provides clothing and gifts for children and coordinates food baskets
with the Hudson Elks Club. The Coalition annually assists approximately 300
children and 150 families in Hudson.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The Coalition provides clothing/gifts/food through the generous sponsorship of
dozens of individuals, families, organizations and businesses. Opportunities
vary from small monetary donations to sponsorship of multiple families. Monetary
donations are always welcome (we find shoppers), however many families and
organizations enjoy the camaraderie of sponsoring and shopping for a family or
two as well. If interested in sponsorship, please download sponsorship form
below.
Of course, no two children are the same, however, a “typical” request for an
eight-year old will include basic clothes, perhaps gym shoes or boots, and a few
gifts. Dependent on age, cost is $75 to $100 per child.
If you decide to sponsor a family, we will provide you with specific requests
including size and color preference, in addition to a designated drop-off site—a
Hudson Public School Nurse Office, the Boys & Girls Club (Hudson Clubhouse) or
the Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Need Help This Holiday Season?
*This program provides assistance to low-moderate income families with
children—18 or younger. Generally, these families qualify for school
breakfast/lunch programs and fuel assistance. In some cases, families with
qualifying events (death of a parent, loss of income due to health issues, etc.)
will be reviewed by referring agencies and assistance may be granted. All
requests must be made through a referral agency listed below.
Approved Referral Agencies
Our primary referral agencies are the Hudson Public School Nurses. However, if
your child(ren) doesn’t attend the Hudson Public School System, you may use one
of the following as your referral agency.
Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest (Hudson Clubhouse)
First Federated Church
No requests for assistance will be taken after 4 pm. on December 9, 2011.
