The Hudson Public School System is seeking a donation of space, approximately 1600 sq. ft., by April 1st to store its science modules. If able to assist, please contact Arthur Camins at 978.567.6100 x 114.

All seminars are at the Hudson Savings Bank Board Room, 2nd floor, from 8 to 9:15 am, and cost $15 pp. ($25 pp for nonmembers).   • Director Spotlight: Dick Downey
  • Dick currently serves as VP of Marketing and Sales for Boyd Coatings Research Co. in Hudson. Prior employment includes serving as VP for both Chase- Walton Elastomers and Test Devices. Moreover, Downey was President and one of the original founders of Hypertronics Corporation in 1970. He led the 3- person start-up to a 150 employee corporation with annual revenues exceeding $30M

    Downey's numerous achievements include a patent for de-soldering technology and the 2000 Cellucci Award for Regional Leadership. Dick currently serves on Maynard's Board of Assessors and served 6 years as a Maynard Selectman. He speaks fluent French and served in the US Army. Dick currently serves as the Chamber's Chairman of the Board and as the Vice Chair of the Chamber's Government Affairs Committee.

  • 05-06 Property Tax Rates in Assabet Valley Region
  • Each year, your Chamber attends tax hearings in both Hudson and Maynard and monitors hearings in Berlin Bolton and Stow. During the 4th quarter of 2005, the following tax rates were set for the 05-06 FY.

    Both Hudson and Maynard have split tax rates, which mean that they tax Commercial and Industrial Property (CIP) at a higher rate than residential. During December, Hudson approved a residential rate of $10.16/$1000 (of value) and a CIP rate of $22.53/ $1000 Maynard approved a residential rate of $12.91/$1000 and a CIP rate of $24.86/$1000

    Bolton, Berlin and Stow have flat tax rates;all properties are taxed alike. This past year, Bolton approved a tax rate of $13.56/$1000, Berlin passed a rate of $11.78/$1000 and Stow approved a rate of $14.04/$1000
