Greetings!

Each year, we execute 10 networking events, six Business After Fives and four Business Network Breakfasts. We are currently seeking hosts of our 2006 programs. Hosting an event gives your business incredible exposure.

Dependent on location and competition from other events, Business After Fives attract between 40 to 120 participants, but average 60 attendees. These events are generally run on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7 pm. Sponsors provide the facilities, refreshments and tours if appropriate. Chamber staff provides everything else. Anticipated available dates for 2006 include; March 15, June 14, September 13, November 8 and December 13.

Business Network Breakfasts are brief intimate gatherings, from 8 to 9 am., generally on Tuesday mornings. We usually limit participation to 15 members and each participant is given time for a two minute presentation and the ability to distribute materials. These breakfasts are usually run "roundtable" style, so sponsors should have a large table and chairs to accommodate. Sponsors provide a light breakfast. Chamber Staff provides everything else. Anticipated available dates include February 14, May 23, July 11 and October 24.

Interested parties should call or email the Chamber.

  • Hudson Coalition for Giving Seeks Sponsors
  • The Hudson Coalition centralizes and administrates giving for the holiday season. Last year the Coalition provided gifts, clothing and food baskets for 117 families and 279 children. Primary referrals are from the Hudson Public Schools (students who qualify for breakfast/lunch assistance) and SMOC/OPAI.

At present, we have sponsored 185 kids, but have 45 kids without sponsors. You can sponsor a child by agreeing to shop (we'll provide the request list) or by making a donation and we'll get a volunteer to shop. In general, it costs approximately $100 per child, the younger ones cost less, while the older ones cost a bit more.

If interested in helping out, download a sponsorship form from our web site (www.assabetvalleychamber.org) or give us a call (978.568.0360).
